Wetwop
Wetwop is a pre-mixed liquid that produces excellent
friction ridge detail when used to develop prints on any adhesive
surface such as masking, duct, clear, cellophane, brown packaging and
nylon reinforced tape.
Background:
Wetwop is used to process the sticky-side of adhesive tapes and labels
for latent prints. As with any chemical process, we suggest that you
experiment on non-evidence items to become familiar with this process
before using it on evidence.
Safety:
As with any new chemical process, read and understand the Material
Safety Data Sheet on all the chemicals involved. Practice normal
industrial hygienic procedures of wearing lab coats, protective gloves,
and goggles, if there is any risk of splashing the solution into the
eyes.
Equipment:
Wetwop is applied to the adhesive side of tapes with a camel-hair brush.

Wetwop is a ready-to-use suspension, no mixing or additives needed.
