Ninhydrin is one of the easiest and most effective
methods for developing latent prints on paper. Many latent print
examiners use Ninhydrin exclusively on paper because of its
effectiveness and/or their lack of proper setup for DFO. Ninhydrin
should always be used in fume hood or with an appropriate filter mask.
- Very economical.
- Can also be mixed with 3M Novec Engineered Fluid HFE-7100 for a less toxic and non-flammable solution.
- Crystals have an indefinite shelf life.
- Working solution is one year.
